April 7th is World Health Day.
World Health Day is celebrated on 7 April to celebrate the anniversary of the origin of the World Health Organisation (WHO) in 1948. Each year a theme is selected for World Health Day that highlights a priority area of concern for WHO.
World Health Day focuses on a single health challenge with global impact and in 2012 Ageing and Health are the themes.
Good health adds life to years
The aim of this campaign is on how good health throughout life can help older men and women lead full and productive lives and be a resource for their families and communities.
Ageing concerns each and every one of us – whether young or old, male or female, rich or poor – no matter where we live. And it is possible to feel young and have fun at any age.
We’ll be celebrating by grilling healthily, going for a walk, cycling in the countryside and having several healthy infusions!
